Kammerer, 84, a lifelong resident of this area and a retired employe of the former Niagara Electric Service Corp., now Niagara Mohawk Power Corp., died Monday (Jan. 24, 1966) in Ransomville General Hospital. He had been ill since last April. /P/ Mr. Kammerer, who had lived before his illness at 646 Seventh St., was born in Niagara Falls. He was an accountant for the utility firm until his retirement in 1946. /P/ Mr. Kammerer was a member of the board of trustees of St. Paul's Methodist Church for 40 years and was secretary of the board until about a year ago. /P/ He was a member of Niagara River Lodge 785, F and AM, for 60 years. He also was a member of Niagara Commandery No. 64, Knights Templar; Niagara Chapter No. 200, Royal Arch Masons; the Ismailia Temple and the Niagara Falls Shrine Club. /P/ Last June, Mr. Kammerer and five other Masons of this area were honored for long service to Lodge No. 785 and were presented with 50 and 60-year pins. /P/ He is survived by three sisters, Mrs. Marie K. Jacoby, of this city; Mrs. C. Fred Hartwig, Jamestown, and Mrs. George Shipston, Somerville, N.J., and a brother, Carl A. Kammerer, New York City. Several nieces and nephews also survive. /P/ Funeral services will be held Thursday at 7:30 p.m. at the Bell Funeral Home, with Rev. Dr. Andrew S. Turnipseed, pastor of St. Paul's Methodist Church, officiating. The family will be present from 2 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. on Wednesday and Thursday. Burial will be private.

Fred Hartwig of Jamestown, N.Y., Mrs. George Shipston of Somerville, N.J., Mrs. Marie K. Jacoby of this city, Carl A. Kammerer of New York City, and the late Mrs. Charles J. Woolcock and Mrs. August Vorwerk. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews. Funeral services from the chapel of Bell Funeral Home Inc., 635 Main St., Thursday, Jan. 27, at 7:30 p.m., the Rev. Andrew S. Turnipseed, D.D., officiating. Interment private at the convenience of the family in Riverdale Cemetery. The family will be present at the funeral home from 2:00 to 5:00 and 7:00 to 9:00 Wednesday and Thursday.
