- He was enumerated in the US federal census of 1 June 1900 in the household of Robert Thomas Wilson in Newfane, Niagara County, New York.
- He was an unemployed farm hand, according to the 1900 census.
- Niece Dorothy Gorman lived with Pet and Louise Wilson while her widowed mother worked away from home.

- He married Louise Hayes, daughter of Henry Hayes and Johanna Brassel, on 24 June 1903 in Niagara Falls, Niagara County, New York, at the residence of Jennie Gorman, 751 8th Street.
- The following appeared on 26 June 1903 in a Niagara Falls newspaper: The wedding of Miss Louisa Hayes and Mr. Peter M. Wilson of Buffalo took place at the home of the bride's sister, Mrs. J. Gorman, No. 751 Eighth Street, at 8:30 Wednesday evening. It was a very pretty affair, the house being handsomely decorated with smilax and potted plants. The ceremony was performed by the Rev. William Barrows, president of De Veaux College, who used the impressive English Services. Miss Maud Wilson a sister of the groom, was the bridesmaid, and Mr. Harry Hayes, brother of the bride, acted as best man. The bride wore a gown of champagne colored crepe de chene trimmed with Cluny lace. The bridesmaid wore a brown batiste over green taffeta, lace trimmings. The bridal procession came down the front stairway and was med at the arch of greens by the bride's brother[-in-law], Mr. Wright, who gave her away. An elaborate wedding feast followed the ceremony. The happy couple left at 9:15 for a trip to the Thousand Islands. They will be at home after July 10 at No. 751 Eighth Street.

Miller of the Richmond Avenue Church of Christ. Among the guests were Mr. and Mrs. Oliver, and Mr. and Mrs. Wilson of this city.
- About 1915, Louise and Pete Wilson were photographed with daughter Carolyn on their porch steps.

- He registered for the draft on 12 September 1918 in Niagara County, New York, while living with his wife Louise at 461 Fifth Street in Niagara Falls, and employed there as a sub-foreman at The Mathieson Alkali Works on Buffalo Avenue.

- Peter, Louise and Carolyn Wilson were apparently overlooked in the 1920 census due to an enumerating error. Dorothy Gorman is identified as "Niece" in the household of John Connor at 463 5th Street. and the family of Chester Wright is enumerated next door at 461. The Wilsons were likely still living at 461 on 1 January 1920, since Louise's mother Johanna Hayes died there on 14 March 1919.
- In October 1920, when both Pete Wilson and Elsa Vorwerk were working at the Mathieson Alkali Works in Niagara Falls, someone produced an amusing little cartoon-strip commentary on the results of the World Series office pool.

- The following appeared on 13 October 1936 in The Niagara Falls Gazette: Mr. and Mrs. Peter M. Wilson, of Seventh street, have returned from Atlantic City, where Mr. Wilson was a delegate to the National Safety convention. Miss Carolyn Wilson, of Buffalo, and Peter Wilson, of McKoon avenue, accompanied them to Atlantic City.

- The following appeared on 7 July 1954 in the Niagara Falls Gazette: A gross estate of $30,953.07 was left by Louise Hathaway, who died in this city last Jan. 10, according to a state tax appraisal on file today at the surrogate's office, Lockport. The net estate amounted to $28,973.27. /P/. The beneficiaries are a sister-in-law [sic], Julia Wilson, 833 Pierce Ave; a nephew, Peter M. Wilson, 336 Seventh St., and a son, Peter M. Wilson, 833 Pierce Ave. State tax on the estate totaled $184.72.

- The following appeared on circa 30 August 1967 in the Niagara Falls Gazette: Peter M. Wilson, 84, died Monday (Aug. 28, 1967) at the home of his son, Robert E. Wilson of Fairport. He formerly resided at 336 Seventh st., this city. /P/ A native of Buffalo, Mr. Wilson was a resident of this city for over 60 years. He was employed for 50 years at the Mathieson Alkali works and was personnel manager at his retirement about 14 years ago. He was active in promoting sports activities for the Mathieson company which in 1954 merged with Olin Industries Inc. to form the Olin Mathieson Chemical Corp. /P/ Mr. Wilson is also survived by a daughter, Mrs. Frederick (Carolyn) Vorwerk of Laurelton, N.Y. [sic], five grandchildren and a great-grandchild. /P/ Funeral services will be held Thursday at 1 p.m. at the Gridley Funeral Home, the Rev. John B. Toay officiating. Burial will be in Riverdale Cemetery.
