Weiler of No 426 Sixth Street, and daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Frederick Schumacher of No 742 Eighth Street, died Sunday morning at 1 o'clock at the Weiler home after a week's illness following confinement.
         Deceased was in her 31st year. The immediate relatives are heart broken over the loss that has come to them and the legion of friends of the deceased throughout the city feel no less the blow.
         Mrs. Weiler was held in high esteem by all who knew her. She was a member of the Martha Society of the German Zion's Lutheran church.
         She is survived by a husband, mother and father, one brother, Lewis A. Schumacher of Pittsburg, and two sisters, Mrs. William D. Young and Miss M. Carrie Schumacher.
         The funeral was observed this afternoon at 3 o'clock from the Weiler home. The Rev. Albert S. Bacon, pastor of the First Presbyterian church, and Dr. Thomas Snyder conducted the funeral services, Mr. Bacon in English and Dr. Snyder in German, and the interment was made in Oakwood cemetery.

  • The following appeared on 9 March 1923 in the Niagara Falls Gazette: The many friends of Henry V. Weiler will be greatly shocked to learn of his sudden death which occurred today at his home No. 919 Cedar avenue.
         Mr. Weiler suffered a severe attack of grippe about five weeks ago, which left his heart in a weakened condition.
         Thursday evening he appeared in good health and went down town for the morning papers. Later his wife went out and upon her return found him unconscious on the floor and he expired in a few moments, death resulting from heart failure.
         Mr. Weiler was born in the old village of Suspension Bridge and lived here all of his life. He leaves to mourn his loss his wife Frances Passaquay Weiler, two sisters, Mrs. D. V. Hurley and Mrs. John Cole of this ciry, and one brother George of Westfield, N. Y.
         He was a member of The International Steam and Operating Engineers.
         Funeral services from his late residence No. 919 Cedar avenue Sunday March 11, at 2:30 o'clock. Rev. Herman Brezing will officiate. Interment in Oakwood cemetery.
